Since you’re here, I think you want to know better who I am, so let’s get to know each other better!
Or just you, get to know ME better…
These about me pages were always weird to write because I’m not very good when talking about myself. When I do talk about myself, things pretty much end up with “I’m Vladan”.
But you got on my website, and you deserve to know who’s behind it.
So yea, I’m Vladan (last name worse than KSI’s so don’t even bother), and I founded Fourth Sense at the beginning of 2021.
I bought the domain somewhere around December 2019, determined to change how people see fragrances.
But let’s get a bit more in detail before that.
Ever since I was a little kid I was fascinated with scents. Something invisible, something you can’t touch nor see, but you immediately know when it’s there.
The story says that back in a day (like WAY back in a day) smell was our primary sense, something that kept us alive.
The smell tells you when something is wrong, it can wake you up from deep sleep to alert you, it can tell you a story about something…
Most important, it can bring up so many memories.
In 2010 I bought my very own first fragrance – L’Eau d’Issey Pour Homme by Issey Miyake.
My God, it smelled like heaven, I swear.
And compliments that I got from people…
I just couldn’t believe that perfume can create such energy, such an environment – when I put it on, it’s like it changes me!
From that point on I knew this world is yet to be discovered for me.
Since I live in Bosnia and Herzegovina getting my fragrance collection wasn’t easy at all.
Bosnia is a third-world country which means salaries are nowhere near US standards and the price of the fragrances are the same in the whole world.
Fast forward to 2020, my collection grew to around 100 fragrances and I was a member of many fragrance groups on Facebook.
What I figured over time is that there’s just not enough information about fragrances online.
Reviews of the people on the internet are mostly their own personal opinion and no one actually tells you facts about how long does a fragrance last, how long projection last, how long until becomes a skin scent, how does it work in which period of the year, and most importantly how does it smell?
Yes, you can find all these information in small reviews but they are often very polarizing – some say The Dreamer lasts for 8 hours, others say it doesn’t last for over an hour.
Therefore, the idea of creating a blog that reviews fragrances in detail was born, and at the beginning of 2021, Fourth Sense went out live.
Since then I’ve been writing everything by myself but only after I get the fragrance and spend a few days with it.
Proof of that is the pictures like these, where I buy the full bottle, take pictures of it, and put a copyright on them.
My goal is to provide you with every piece of information I can about the fragrance world that you might need.
My way of experiencing the smell of something beautiful is definitely something I want to share with you and the rest of the world.
I believe smells are what make memories, and life is all about gathering memories.
Therefore, I’d be more than happy to help you find your scent and to show you what this beautiful world of scents offers.
Truly a big thank you for being here!
P.S. Please ignore pictures of me where I look silly – someone told me I need to have them here -.-
P.P.S. That “X” next to my name stands for “extreme”. Now that’s a completely different story…
